Might either of you two care to give what top 5 verses or ideas Christians usually focus on of the New Testament?
1. John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
2. Romans 1:18-20 is usually used to show that all know deep down that there is a God
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
3. Revelations 20 (esp. vs 15)
Anyone whose name was not found written in the book
of life was thrown into the
lake of fire.
4. Matthew 19:9
"I tell you that anyone who
divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
5. Ephesians 2:8-9 This one is relevant of the discussion on this thread...
. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast.
