Perhsps .. the “only” choice, but this stuff can spiral.

We already have war in Ukraine, Gaza, don’t need another one. Plus, a largely forgotten civil war in South Sudan.

In my opinion, I think it will spiral in that Iran will be more hellbent on striking us hard. But I don't think they will strike us in some conventional war type of way since their military resources are decreasing day-by-day having to attack Israel and Israel is also bombing their rocket launchers and weapon stockpiles. The intensity of Iran's attacks on Israel has decreased going from hundreds of missiles strikes a day to just a few dozen.

Instead, I think Iran will regroup and attack the US in an indirect way. They'll use proxies or terrorists and probably try to hit us in the US. They may even be able to buy a nuclear warhead from North Korea or someone and just put it on one of their missiles. Let's hope not.

Did Trump jump to conclusions about Iran's nuclear program being "obliterated"? Some initial assessment may show that to be the case. And if so, I don't think it was wise for US to have a cease fire until we know for sure that we won't have to strike the nuclear sites again.
