For popular or very good threads
Oh, I think I have plenty of street cred.
Street cred has nothing to do with understanding scripture. Your posts have shown no Biblical understanding at all. Unfortunately many long term believers are also Biblically ignorant.

If you accepted Christ as your savior as you claim, then you are still a believer. It is impossible to be unsaved. A person cannot save themselves, therefore they cannot unsave themselves either. The scripture clearly teaches that a saved person cannot loose their salvation (John 10:27-30; Rom. 8:37-39). So you either were and still are saved, or you never were saved to begin with. I don’t know which because I’m not God. I just reveal what God has said.

Starting having doubts about six months before I left, basically because being “filled with the Spirit” didn’t work like this one book said.
There is the beginning of your problems. “This one book” does not trump what the Bible says. Stick to the scripture and let the scriptures speak to you.

And why would God allow a new Christian to get embarrassed in the Super Bowl. An embarrassingly poor performance. I know it seems like a small, petty point. But not when you’re 15.
Idk, maybe as a lesson for growth? Life is not fair whether a person is a believer or not. God allows troubles in the lives of believers to build their faith in Him. Why did my mother (a strong believer) have to suffer so much from her lung cancer? Why did the cancer spread to her brain? Why, why, why??! Because God has a reason. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. God does not owe us an explanation. He simply invites us to trust Him. I don’t understand a lot of things, but I trust that God does.

I find it absolutely hilarious that a nonbeliever, with no Biblical learning wants to argue a basic Biblical doctrine with a practicing believer with two earned Master's degrees in Biblical disciplines. People are free to believer whatsoever they choose to believe.

Jesus on the cross saying, “My God, My God, Why Hath Thou Forsaken Me?” This shows that even Jesus himself had doubt.
No, it does not. Jesus is God so He has no doubts about anything. Because our sin that was placed on Christ, for the only time in history, Jesus and the Father were separated. It is sin that separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2). Jesus was suffering in both body and spirit. His cry was fulfillment of Psalms 22:1. Jesus has never had doubts.
I lean towards your position that this wasn't about doubt although I can see why some would interpret it that way.

I think what Jesus went through as told in the Gospels were unbearable and perhaps he was having second thoughts from that, second thoughts from having to go through the suffering.

Here's one perspective when I asked Google Ai: "did Jesus have second thoughts about suffering?"
Yes, the Bible indicates that Jesus experienced moments of hesitation and human emotion regarding his impending suffering and death. While he ultimately submitted to God's will, his prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane reveals a struggle with the painful prospect of crucifixion.

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done," according to Luke 22:42. This prayer demonstrates a human desire to avoid suffering, but also a willingness to submit to God's plan.

I’m very sorry for the loss of your mother. And I hope you got to spend some real time with her toward the end.

Thank you. I spent every day with her the last six weeks of her life. More important than the time we spent together is the hope we both have of spending eternity together. Thank you again.
