Longer than what I usually post but well worth the read (posted by a member named R0rschach, of another forum)
Agnostics like to sit in the middle of the field atop a termite mound. That way we can see all sides, gather all relevant information. We are the "independents" of the spiritual world. We do not deal in absolutes. We are loyal to no party. We want to believe yet we know we only wish to do so because it is part of our very nature. It is part of who we are but the logical part of ourselves can not allow us to fool ourselves into thinking there is an absolute God/Super Creator. We stick with science/mind but remain in touch with our soul/heart. We are forever in limbo...because there are to many questions and so few answers. We are processing information. Please hold.

Some agnostics simply stay away from the Atheist and Theist label because the two are polarizing. Some agnostics are just turned off when issues or sides become too polarizing.

I don't see much of a fight between atheists and Christians now. The same type of debate and attitude has now shifted to politics with the two sides now being the Democrats and Republicans w/ Independents as the agnostics .

I hate it when people think that they have to jump from Republican to Democrat or vice-versa because they have an issue that they disagree with. To me, that's like jumping from Christianity straight to atheism. There are some in-between or moderate positions you can hold. There's being an independent, there's being a moderate Democrat, there's being a conservative Democrat or Liberal Republican, etc.

It's hard to be objective when you hate or love Trump. It's more objective to love or hate his polices - love the good ones and hate the bad ones.

It is sometimes hard to remain a moderate. It's best some times to take a step back before responding and remind yourself why not get extreme. Too often, people respond to extremism by being extreme themselves. Plenty of examples in politics like when Trump responds to open borders of the previous years by treating immigrants in the harsh ways and spreading fear in the community.
