Okay, let’s start with this. Someone once said that the mark of an educated person is the ability to read a list of numbers and weep. Either tears of relief, or of disappointment.

Pope Leo will be a little harder to fool on church finances. When he delegates, he might really delegate. And check up. And spot-check. Now, me personally, I’d let people know in advance because my goal is to prevent misconduct, and not just “get” people. But there are different ways to play that hand.

And with disaster relief, refugees, good deeds, all of that . . . You want to find ways of measuring, Are we doing the most good with our limited resources?

with the trading of military strikes between Pakistan and India, maybe Pope Leo could have a top aide talk with each leader, hey, the Pope is planning a trip through Asia and he’d love to add (Pakistan) (India) to the itinerary.

privately, at the beginning of your tenure as Pope. This will get out, of course it will. And you don’t want to reward countries for military conflict.

Pope Francis died at age 88, and became the Pope at age 75 (in 2013). At least this new Pope is a little younger than 75, but I do hope he retires if or when he starts having serious health problems.
